GENERAL INFORMATION:
When and where will the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting take place?
The meeting will be held Friday, April 5 – Tuesday, April 9, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, Fairmont Royal York, InterContinental Toronto Centre, Sheraton Centre Toronto, and the Westin Harbour Castle.

When will the schedule be available?
The schedule will be available in February, approximately six weeks before the Annual Meeting. A tentative schedule at a glance is available at http://aera19.net/tentative-schedule-at-a-glance.html.   
If you are a presenter and have a specific scheduling request, please send an email to [email protected] with “2019 Annual Meeting Scheduling Request” in the subject line. Include your name, affiliation, title of your paper, and date/days of your availability in the body of the email. We will do our best to accommodate you. However, we cannot guarantee it due to the size and scope of our meeting.

Does AERA have volunteers, scholarships or financial support for presenters and/or attendees?
No. Due to the size, scope of the meeting, and logistical management, AERA relies entirely on paid staff to fulfill essential needs on site. A number of AERA Divisions and Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide scholarships. To find out more, contact your Division or SIG leadership.

SUBMISSIONS & NOTIFICATIONS:
When will I find out if my submission was accepted?
The accept/reject notifications were sent in early November. If you submitted a session submission, only the session organizer will receive a notification. AERA sends out email notifications, and a copy of the message will also be in the Message Center of your online AERA Profile. To access the Message Center, go to www.aera.net. Click “Login” at the upper right of the screen. After you log in, click “My AERA” at the top of the page. On the “My AERA” page, scroll down to the 2019 Annual Meeting and click “Online Program Portal.” The Message Center link is on the home page.

What is the submission deadline for the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting? 
The submission deadline was 11:59 PM PDT on Monday, July 23. AERA is no longer accepting submissions for the 2019 Annual Meeting.

TRAVEL:
Do I need a passport to travel to Canada?
Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements. Children under 15 need only present proof of citizenship. For information on accessing the Government of Canada's official website to determine if you are eligible to visit Canada, if you need a passport, and other important travel details, click here.

Do I need a Visa to travel to Canada?
For tourist visits to Canada of less than 180 days, U.S. citizens do not need visas. Citizens of other nations should review the Government of Canada’s requirements at www.cic.gc.ca. Canadian law requires that all persons entering Canada carry both proof of citizenship and proof of identity. A valid passport, passport card, or NEXUS card satisfies these requirements for citizens. How do I request an official Letter of Invitation from AERA to submit with my Visa application?
Please email  with your full name and a letter can be created for you.

AFFILIATE REQUESTS:
How can I secure space to host a meeting or reception during the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting?
AERA welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals and groups that would like to host a function during the 2019 Annual Meeting. All requests must go through AERA, NOT headquarter hotels or the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. To secure space, click here and complete the Affiliated Space Group Request. Space is assigned in the order requests are received.

Will child care be available during the 2019 AERA Annual Meeting?
Childcare will be available during the 2019 Annual Meeting beginning Thursday, April 4, through Tuesday, April 9. Childcare details and registration are available here.
